On October 8th, the China State Council announced that fully foreign-funded travel agencies would, at long last, be able to apply for licenses allowing them sell international (outbound) travel services to customers in China (see the article below). This was the perfect occasion for DaWo Managing Director Philippe Snel, to sit down with Kris Van Goethem, a tourism business professional with more than 30 years of industry experience, of which most part in China, to discuss the state of affairs in the tourism and leisure market in China.
