Earlier this week, DaWo was honored to participate to the Groundbreaking Ceremony marking the official start of construction for a 115,000m² state-of-the-art integrated e-commerce and logistics warehouse in Xinzhuang Park, Minhang District. DaWo acted as legal counsel to the investor, PRD Group from France, a European leader in logistics real estate development, as well as to the joint venture it formed with the Shanghai HTEG Group, to invest in this new construction project. This is a built-to-suit construction which will serve as an e-commerce base for China for the perfumes & cosmetics division of a world leading luxury group. This project has been recognized as Major Foreign Investment Project by the Shanghai Government.
The DaWo team (Philippe Snel, Hu Xing, Mike Guan, Catherine Cheng) assisted and advised our clients throughout the entire process including the forming of the JV with the local partner, the negotiations and contracting with the local authorities, the land acquisition process, the construction contracting, the long-term lease, the construction permitting, the financing, etc.
We are particularly proud of our clients and our team, who have shown great determination and strong commitment, completing this project in just over one year, starting from January 2020, despite the CoVid-19 emergency situation, the lock-downs, border closings, and travel restrictions. It serves to prove that with a strong and dedicated professional team, nothing is impossible!
