DaWo Law Firm Shanghai was the proud sponsor of the celebration of Belgium National Day at the Belgian Brasserie in Shanghai. Belgium National Day falls annually on July 21 and marks a day of festivities to celebrate the ascendance of the first King of Belgium, Leopold I, and Belgium’s independence from the UK and Netherlands.
While not all of us donned the traditional black, yellow, and red, it was great to see old and new friends mingling together over some fine Belgian beer and snacks. We had the opportunity to share and taste excellent Belgian delights such as cheese croquettes and those big fat Belgian fries. There was a cheerful buzz as we all gathered after a long day at work. The Shanghai humidity and months of restrictions were instantly forgotten.
The evening ended with the promise to meet again soon. Thanks to all who attended. This is DaWo: work hard, play hard!
